Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Tutors in the ESL Learning Center

IELP Tutor Program

The IELP Activities Office offers an IELP tutor program, that matches IELP students with personal tutors. (Please note that this tutoring program is not offered every term.)

This program is open to all IELP students, but levels E and 2 students are given priority. If space is available, students in higher levels can also sign up. All IELP students are matched with PSU students who are enrolled in PSU's TESOL certificate or masters degree program. These PSU students are very interested in helping IELP students improve their English.

Students are expected to meet weekly with their assigned tutors. Meetings take place in a public place either on or near the PSU campus, such as the PSU cafeteria, at a coffee shop, etc.
