You can always take the TOEFL
test after you arrive at PSU.
The IELP offers an IELP/ESL Only Institutional
TOEFL exam four (4) times a year, in August (before the start of fall term),
in November, March and May.
In order to take this test, you must be admitted to the IELP or have been admitted to PSU and have already taken a LING 099 or LING 110 course.
There is a one week registration period for the test about three weeks prior to the exam day.
The test cost is $60.00.
The IELP Institutional
TOEFL score is accepted only by PSU.
This test, designed to be given for the IELP and its students, is offered at a savings. Also, students in all levels of the IELP may take the test.
For the Fall, 2009, 9am-12pm, IELP/ESL TOEFL, the registration period is 2009.
Register in East Hall 122. The cost is $60 and you need to bring your photo ID.
Between, you can pick up the TOEFL test booklet also in EH 122. You will want to read this before the test.
On test day, , arrive at 8:30am at the testing site (check your TOEFL booklet for site locations). Bring your PSU ID and two #2 pencils.

NOTE: Portland State University also offers an institutional TOEFL, but IELP students are not eligible to take this and must take the IELP TOEFL.
If you have been admitted to PSU, or have not yet taken any IELP courses or are a member of a special program you may be eligible for the PSU Institutional TOEFL. You may not take both tests.
