Medical Insurance
Health care in the United States is very expensive. For this reason,
all international students at PSU are required to have medical
insurance.
University Sponsored Health Insurance
International students at PSU are automatically signed up and billed
for:
- PSU's "Student Health Service" fee
- PSU's "Basic Insurance Plan"
- International
Student Extended Health Insurance Plan
The first two fees listed above allow students to use the PSU Health
Center for free and receive basic services at the PSU health
Clinic at a reduced cost. [More]
Bring Your Own Insurance?
Students who show proof of that they already have accident and medical
insurance, (equivalent to the coverage required by Oregon state law),
can fill out a Waiver
Form and do not have to pay for PSU's International
Student Extended Health Insurance Plan. [More]
On-Campus Student Health Center
A full-service Student Health Center is located on campus. All full-time students (including IELP students)
can visit the Student Health Center free of charge. [More]
