Privately managed off-campus apartments
The PSU campus is surrounded by many different privately managed apartment complexes. In addition, there are numerous apartment buildings located within easy walking distance or easy bike, bus, streetcar, or MAX train ride from PSU.

Apartment prices in downtown Portland, near PSU, range from

• $500+ for a studio apartment
  
• $700+ for a 1-bedroom apartment
  
• $900+ for a 2-bedroom apartment

Outside of the downtown area, apartment prices are less expensive; for example: $500+ for a 1-bedroom apartment and $650+ for a 2-bedroom apartment.

Shared Housing / Rooms for Rent
Typically cost around $300-$450 per month, depending on location and amenities. Rooms may be furnished or unfurnished.

Transportation
Portland city's public transportation system, TriMet, is very safe and convenient. Therefore it is very easy to be a PSU student and live off-campus.
