Q1. How do I meet a Learning Center tutor?

A: It's easy! Just go to the Learning Center Computer Lab on the first floor of the Science Building 2, room 169. Please make an appointment on the sign-up sheet outside the door.


Q2. Must I make an appointment?

A: No, if the tutor is not busy, just stop and introduce yourself. Then you can ask the tutor questions about English.


Q3. Who are the Learning Center tutors?

A: The Learning Center has three tutors. The tutors are graduate students in the M.A. TESOL program at PSU.


Q4. How can the Learning Center tutors help me?

A: They can help you with reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, or listening in English. The tutors can help you understand information from your IELP classes. Also, they can answer questions you might have about American culture.


Q5. What times can I meet with a Learning Center tutor?
There are two experienced tutors in the Learning Center II (SB2 169) to help you. Sahoko Kakutani or Amanda Hsu is available Monday-Friday 2-6pm
