Q1. How do I meet a Learning Center tutor?

A: It's easy! Just go to the Learning Center in University Center Building, room 485 and ask the assistant at the front desk to tell you about tutoring.

Q2. Must I make an appointment?

A: Yes, please talk to the assistant at the front desk.  They will tell you when the tutors are available.

Q3. Who are the Learning Center tutors?

A: All our tutors are trained and nationally certified professionals.  Many of them are getting their masters degrees in TESOL or a related field.

Q4. How can the Learning Center tutors help me?

A: They can help you with reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, or listening in English. Some can assist you with the TOEFL iBt. The tutors can help you understand information from your IELP classes. Also, they can answer questions you might have about American culture.

Q5. What times can I meet with a Learning Center tutor?
Tutors are available Mon - Thurs 9am-7pm and Fri 9am - 5pm.



Q6. Where are the tutors?
The tutors are always in UCB 485.
