IELP At a Glance

Pre-Entry Program:

This program was established to better equip students that test into the IELP with minimal English skills. The higher number of instructional hours and additional support given to these students increases their likelihood for success upon entry into the Foundational English classes.

This track of study is for students who want to improve their conversation skills, increase fluency, develop confidence in communicating in English, and learn about American culture.

Skills Enhancement Course (SEC):

  • All new full-time students take American Culture and Academic Life (ACAL).
  • Returning students can choose their SEC. Example courses include:
