IELP Admission Requirements

In order to be academically admitted to the Intensive English Language Program, you must:

• Be at least 17 years of age
• Have completed high school/secondary school or its equivalent
  

Review of your application for admission will begin upon receipt of the application fee ($150; non-refundable if not admitted).

Students who will request an F-1 visa must provide proof of financial support for the duration of study in the program. A form I-20,
certificate of eligibility for an F-1 student visa cannot be issued without the required financial information.

VISA Requirements
for international students coming from overseas

Do not come to Oregon until you have received an 1-20 Form and have secured the appropriate visa.

Portland State University requires all international students to be in compliance with the regulations and requirements of their visa status.
